The sun, the moon and the stars, but different

Last month when my dad and I were at Castlefest we saw all kinds of weird Steampunk inventions. That’s when we got the idea to make a ‘Solarium’ of our own. So the next day we got to work. We made an pillar to hold up the sun drilled holes in it to hold up the planets.

I’m glad I took some photo’s during the process, because the in between shots look some kind of weird something. Wires and sticks everywhere.

I could have finished it sooner, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to paint the planets. But last weekend I did and I must say, I love how it turned out. So right now it has a place on my wooden writing desk.
